David Lawrence
When he was a teenager, David Lawrence worked in his uncle's greenhouses in Waterbury, CT. But greenhouses didn't interest David as much as his uncle's adjacent florist shop. So before long David was an apprentice there.
After a stint in the Navy, and then a job in the corporate world, David returned to floristry, first studying professional floral design, and then working in shops in New Jersey and Vermont.
In 1993 he began at the Village Florist, which, even then, was known as Manchester's preferred and most innovative florist.
Less than a year later he purchased it.
Since then he has done work for Broadway and Hollywood celebrities, for political and business leaders, for every major inn, hotel and restaurant, as well as discerning and discriminating individuals throughout Vermont.
The reason is simple. For David, excellence isn't an option, it's the only choice.
Throughout his life, David Lawrence's other great passion has been animal rescue the last twenty years being actively involved in Old English Sheepdog rescue. This is why you'll find on the resources page links to both animal rescue and Sheepdog rescue.
On every level, life is more beautiful when it's shared. |
